About The Owner

Cedar Creek Networks is owned and operated by Tom Bardenwerper. I am a born-and-bred Milwaukeeian, now living with my wife of 25 years, two dogs and two parrots in Thiensville, Wisconsin. I have a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, and specialized in electronic media at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Prior to and while in college, I worked in retail management for over 15 years for two different local small businesses where I learned the intricacies of running a successful small business. That management background has served me well in my own business, as well as for my clients' as I understand small business needs better than most.

I began with computers in 1984 and was a rabid computer hobbyist evangelizing the long-gone Atari line of computers. In the early '90s I bought my first PC clone. I began working professionally with PCs in 1996 while still in school - during which time I worked for three different production companies as a network administrator and web developer. In 2002 I formed my own business as Cedar Creek Networks and it has been growing steadily ever since.

In my spare time I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy year-round fishing, upland game and bow hunting, wilderness camping and canoeing, wild mushroom hunting and of course, photography - which goes well with my outdoor life.

My other interests include: all-grain homebrewing, organic gardening, amateur astronomy and CCD astrophotography, N scale model railroading, antique collecting and cooking.
